Engineering Notes
For standard CT, Rescale Slope = 1 and Intercept = -1024. A slope ≠ 1 is used for dose maps, PET SUV images, and some radiography workflows.
Troubleshooting
PET images showing values far out of expected SUV range may have wrong Rescale Slope. Verify against the scanner's quantification documentation.
Common Values
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1 | Standard CT (1:1 mapping) |
| 0.001 | PET SUV images (sub-unit scaling) |
